About Mini & Junior Rugby
Kenilworth RFC boasts a very successful Mini & Juniors section and are always keen to welcome new players of all levels and ages. Our teams (both boys and girls) range from under 6's to under 16's, with a clearly defined pathway through to colts and senior teams.
We work within the RFU Seal of Approval scheme, so you can be sure of high standards of child welfare from our coaching teams and provide a balanced approach to mini and junior rugby, ensuring great fun whilst learning the game. In line with RFU Age Grade Rugby, mini rugby is designed to introduce new elements of the game at each age group in order that players can progress towards the 15 a-side game. For information the RFU provide details of age grade rules on their website under the following link
Training (and most of our home games) take place at the " Cow patch" on Glasshouse Lane (adjacent to Kenilworth Wardens with postcode CV8 2AL), where we also have toilet and refreshment facilities. For most of our age groups rugby is normally played on a Sunday morning between 10:30 and 12:00.
You will find us a great community and hospitable club. We encourage parents and grandparents to get involved and help with the various activities that keep the club running smoothly. As well as the day-to-day running, we also organise tours and festivals which are great fun for all the family.
Feel free to contact one of the relevant age group coaches - the determining date for all age groups is midnight on 31st August 2017.
The provisional fixture lists for the mini and junior teams are now available for the 2017/2018 season however be advised that these are subject to changes.
