Kenilworth Ladies: Head Coach vacancy

Kenilworth Ladies are looking to appoint a new Head Coach for the 2018/19 season and beyond.

Currently playing in Championship Midlands 2, the Ladies have been one of the most successful women's teams in Warwickshire over three past three years having secured two back-to-back promotions in 2017 and 2018. The side also reached the 2018 Intermediate Cup final and have had 15 county representatives since 2015.

A team that prides itself on teamwork, respect, having fun and being welcoming to all, Kenilworth Ladies are part of a friendly and inclusive rugby club which promotes participation in rugby for all.

The new head coach will be supported by an experienced Ladies coaching set up and will have the opportunity to work with coaches involved with Coventry RFC as well as former France and New Zealand defence coach David Ellis.

Additionally, the club is set to move to its new home in 2021 which will feature a new clubhouse and state-of-the-art training facilities.

Role description


  • A minimum of RFU Level 2 coaching qualification, with experience

  • A desire to constantly develop and receive feedback

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills


  • Lead coach for all matches on a Sunday

  • Plan and lead training on Wednesdays and Thursdays

  • Play an active role in team selection in line with a clear selection policy agreed with the Ladies Committee

  • Report to the Ladies Committee and the Kenilworth RFC DoR

  • Support the club's growing Girls contact section
