Kenilworth Rugby Club

On Saturday 12th September KRFC will be holding a senior club touch rugby event as part of the RFU national “pitch up for rugby” initiative.

The event involves players both male and female over the age of 16 with the aim of this initiative being to get us as a wider club back into rugby. To comply with RFU and COVID 19 guidelines the event has required all teams to be pre-registered and team entry is now closed.

Timings for games will be 3-5pm at the main club with the clubhouse open from 2pm and food also available on site 3-8pm. All spectators will be required to follow social distancing rules and COVID 19 guidelines including the need to register contact details for test and trace purposes.

We are promoting the Taylor Gough charity (part of the Matt Hampson Foundation) as part of this event. Taylor is a 20 year old Tigers back-rower who has recently suffered multiple injuries, including severe spinal injuries after being involved in a serious road traffic accident in mid-June. Taylor’s brother Jordan will be joining us on the day, having entered a team.

Any players, members and supporters please consider donating to this worthy cause.

There will also be the opportunity to donate on the day via contactless payment.
