Reaching the next level - on and off the pitch!

We're about to embark on an exciting couple of years, as our club begins the next exciting new chapter in its history. 

The dream of a new ground, with state-of-the-art sports and events facilities for the whole community, is edging ever closer. Before we know it, it will be a reality – one that we hope will take Kenilworth RFC to the next level both on and off the field across every age group. 

That’s why we’re laying the foundations for the future, encouraging volunteers to join the ‘kenfamily’ and strengthening our communications – so every one of our valued members is always up to date. 

Without our members, management committee and supporting volunteers who have worked tirelessly on the fine details of the move, we wouldn’t be where we are now. 

Club Chairman Peter Blakeman said: “We owe huge thanks to everyone who has been volunteering and for helping us get to this point. The next two years is massive for the club as we move into the next exciting phase of the project.  

As the clock ticks down, we’ll be sharing our plans for keeping our members, supporters and all interested parties up to date with the project.” 

That will mean regular progress reports about the ground, its five full size rugby pitches and 3G area, plus news on the people who are helping to make it happen as part of the Build The Castle campaign.

Ambitious plans to improve two-way communication with our members, the wider community, businesses and sports fans in general, will include: 

- A website refresh to make a must-visit regular destination when you’re browsing.  

- Regular newsletters featuring news and views sent straight to our members’ inboxes. 

- Castle Forums – occasional member forum sessions (COVID dependent) to allow those with a question or concern on a particular topic, to join in and find out more. Click here to drop us an email, and we’ll look to share the news

If you know of a club member who isn’t on email but wants to be kept up to date, let us know and we will endeavour to ensure everyone is kept up to date with the latest news. 


Director of Rugby, Jai Purewal, said: “As with all the best teams, we need everyone on board pulling in the same direction, so we’d welcome any feedback on the communications plan. 

There will be an announcement in the next week or so about the first of the Castle Forums as well as some members-only updates that we’ll be sending by email, so keep an eye out!”
