Hot on the heels of our recent new Men’s senior signing we bring you another…

We are really pleased to announce that experienced and mobile prop forward George Walsh has signed for the 21/22 season.

George has been playing at Broadstreet since 2015, representing them in National 2 South, North and Midlands Premier as well as representing the Warwickshire Senior squad. Before that he was playing in Ireland at Trinity College Dublin in the All Ireland League Division 1B.

George shared his thoughts on the move to, “Having not played any rugby due to the pandemic, and having recently welcomed my second child it was the perfect time for me to take on a different challenge in my rugby career. It has been difficult not to take notice of Kens success over the last few years and the trajectory the club is on, and having played with a lot of the boys before it is the perfect move for me. I'm looking forward to putting on the jersey, working hard and getting stuck in!”

KRFC Director of Rugby Jai Purewal commented, “To secure the services of George, one of the county’s leading prop forwards, is a great achievement and demonstrates the momentum that has been building over the last few seasons. We are developing great strength in the front row, something many clubs are struggling to achieve, and this will ensure our set piece is a real weapon. George has a great attitude, works hard, and will set a fantastic example to our young forwards.” Welcome to the #kenfamily George
