It is with sadness but great admiration that we see our Magic Number 9 Gareth Renowden step away from 1XV rugby at Kenilworth. Gaz is considering options locally to perhaps play a bit more 1XV rugby on a regular basis, commendable determination for such a whippersnapper!
The achievements and legacy that Gareth has left at Kenilworth RFC need no further documentation, other than that his astonishing appearance and try scoring records will stand proud in the history of our club. A Twickenham winner, a key player in a number of promotion winning squads and an Honorary Life Member, opposing clubs at our level will finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief at the fringes of the breakdown!
We are delighted of course that Gaz will remain a committed member of the club, and will support the team from the sidelines when he can and also turn out for the Pirates (Vets) when possible (if selected 
!). Additionally he will continue to bring through the future KRFC generation as coach of the U9s
