Last Thursday's Sporting Dinner was a resounding success, with Rob Henderson following in the footsteps of recent speakers such as Ian Robertson, Scott Quinnell and Brian Moore in entertaining those in attendance.
Having starred for London Irish, Wasps, Leinster, Munster and Toulon, as well as Ireland and the British Lions, Rob kept the room fully entertained with tales from his stellar career, and some interesting ones from the amateur era...!
We also managed to contribute significantly to the Crowdfunder through the auction to the tune of £4,000, with some extremely generous support to the auction, in which the prizes of a signed England shirt, a boating trip and a dining experience with Womens player and recent Masterchef finalist, Terri Fearon, all quickly snapped up.
Rob was also kind enough to add to the auction himself, pledging 2 match tickets and his company at the England Vs Ireland upcoming 6 Nations game at Twickenham, which was extremely generous of him and gratefully received!
